Después de la extinción (DDLE) is a dialogue inhabited by voices and images. It recovers and constructs a collective experience that began to take shape at a seminar on research in the arts (CePIA-UNC) in pandemic times. The text gathers memories and vital fragments of a fiction that, as time and space dissolve, questions possible, forgotten, imagined and denied lives.
Spectral voices burst into this text, contaminating every scene of this porous dialogue. In such wise, real and imagined scenarios become confused, diluted, extinguished, while a spacecraft gets away from the Earth when it is all over. At the Festival Iberoamericano de Teatro de Cádiz (Spain, 2021) we presented the virtual performance Antes de la extinción (Before the extinction). Now, a gadget is bringing us together Después de la extinción (After the extinction).
