Abstract

This paper explores the representations of the concept of “gamete” by students of Biology Teachers, and their productions are contrasted with the approach to the subject found in the most frequently textbooks used at High Education. It turned out that the students’ representations are disjointed and fragmented, in agreement with the textbooks consulted - which analysis revealed that they can be sources of difficulties to achieve the
right learning.
