Abstract

The genus Lorentziella is reported for the first time for Chile based on multiple collections done between the months of July and September 2016. New information is given about the ecology of this taxon and its global known distribution, as well as a distribution map. A lectotype for the genus Lorentziella is here selected and the genus authorship is corrected
