Abstract

In this paper we propose the use of the film “Ice Age” to teach and learn topics on evolution and practice cognitive abilities. That sort or movies can potentially motivate the student because of the esthetic and the humor of the dialogues. At the same time, these films use to present contents that do not agree with scientific models. This characters make it possible for students to analyze, identify, research and rectify some scientific mistakes the movie has. We analyze those mistakes deeply, which can be used by the teacher to design other activities for the students.
