Which Environmental Education?

Abstract

This paper is based on Critical Theory, which reviews action and participation as a priority of emancipatory Environmental Education (EE). With a brief development of the evolution of EA, it describes a research project carried out in the State of Mato Grosso (Brazil), taking I O rural schools. Through action research. it was sought to offer support to the educational practice of EA in the continuing education of teachers. Establishing the integration of undergraduate and graduate teaching, the discipline of "Science" was used to develop actions that could promote the partnership between the school and its environment, rescuing participation as the great challenge of environmentalism.
