Abstract

Philonotis esquelensis, a species described from Argentina, is recorded for the first time forChile. In this work the sporophyte is described and illustrated, amending the original description. SEMof spores, capsule, and peristome are here made. A distribution map of the species in southern SouthAmerica is presented.
