Abstract

This article presents a didactic strategy for the teaching of science with focus on environment, al secondary achool level. The basic strategy is the open solution of a real problem. Far from being presented from a mere instrumental perspective, this strategy appears as a fundamental instance lo introduce and give sense to scientific knowledge, what will result jo a deeper comprehension of the nature of science and a better chance to develop both cognitive abilities and scientific attitudes. The strategy includes working on the environmental, so that students can specific environmental situation
