Abstract

This paper addresses a bounded literature review on some possibilities of implementing practical laboratory work in biology teaching. It aims to systematize some conceptualizations and classifications useful for the design of laboratory activities. The laboratory practical work is an essential component of science teaching and learning and there are many reasons for its input into classroom practice. When students are presented with well-structured practical works, they have the potential to learn contents, promote critical and creative thinking, and develop positive attitudes towards sciences. Finally, we present two proposals of design of Laboratory Practical Works from a school research approach.
