Abstract

The investigative methodological proposal that has been developed since 1996 in the subject ''Comparative Anatomy" confronts students with a specific problematic situation that includes the background from which they must identify a problem, develop hypotheses and make predictions and test them, discuss their results and draw conclusions. During the year 2000, an evaluation of the teaching-learning process was implemented through case studies. The objective of the educational research was to analyze the dynamics of the teaching-learning process based on a qualitative and descriptive study that allowed validating the implemented methodological proposal in practice. The information was obtained through: personal documents; narrative records; surveys and the opinion of participating teachers. In spite of the difficulties encountered in the first stages of the development of their "little research", the students reached a level of personal satisfaction greater than that achieved by the "mere" passing of a subject, since this proposal allowed them to feel like real actors in their training. For the teachers involved in the process, the results obtained were positive.
