This paper aims to delineate some entries to the problem of feminist and neoliberal images of the future, appealing to the analysis of fragments belonging to an audiovisual narrative: The Handmaid's Tale. The journey is oriented to identify mechanisms of visual subjectivation and technologies of affective governance, contributing to the feminist and queer critique of reproductive futurism, compulsory motherhood and the heterosexual political regime.
