These ovarian neoplasm derive from the ovarian stromal component constituting around the 5 tu 12% of ah ovarian tumors.
Objective: To examine the histopathological and ul trastructural morphol ogic characterist ic of the neoplastic ceils and the patognomonic elenient of these tumors: Cali Exner's Bodies
Materiales and inethods: The materials corresponded lo 2 women of 52 and 55 years. The siniomatology was abdominal tumor that went in mercase.
The materials were fractioned for the histopathological conventional study and for ultrastructural analysis. For this last one, they
were tixed in Karnovsky, rehix tu osmio and included in Araldita.
Resuits: by means uf the different observations it was determined in buth cases the nuclear atipia, indentations nucici and prorninent nucleohi. In one of the cases the presence of Bc,dics of Cahl-Exner vas detecied, and ultrastruciuraly vas compound by whirled fibrils and amorphous material. wiih dense slructures electron tu its around. It was interest the infihirated of plasmatic cells around the tumors celis. These neoplasms are of interesi due to their impredectible hehavicr and lo the hormonal production thai can origi nate ahterations in othcr organs of the genital apparatus.
