Abstract

This article presents some reflections made by teachers from the team that works on the entrance to the degrees in Educational Sciences. In relation to the preparation of a report on the 2023 Leveling Course, which gives an account of the characteristics of the group of students, entitled "Entrants. Characteristics, situations and contexts".

The results of the report raise questions about the new conformation of the student body of the degree course, which has an impact on the professional graduate and also on the times and ways of remaining at the university. Recognising these new entrants makes it possible to denaturalise some representations about who studies Educational Sciences and makes it possible to think about policies aimed at promoting inclusion.

This moment of analysis of the enrolment and their practices at the moment of inhabiting public higher education also takes place within the framework of the return to face-to-face attendance after two years of virtual teaching of admission, which left traces in how the degree course is conceived and should be considered when thinking about ways of accompanying the entrants, thinking about a horizon of guaranteeing the right to higher education.
