Abstract

This work analyzes he relationship between availability of medical care, employment and education. Strong interdependence of these variables is the central assumption of care strategies with funds originated in labor for access to private medical care offer. Results indicate that there is no significant dependence between education and medical care availability or between education and employment. Bivariate analysis indicates that employment and education are significantly related in those cases of completion of educational cycles, whether high school or university. Factorial analysis yields two definite dimensions. The first groups employment and the availability of medical care, and the second employment and education. The weakness of the relationship suggests the convenience of directing the strategy of access to medical care by strengthening the public sector.
