Abstract

The various forms of plastic waste disposal are a major problem for our environment. A large amount of petroleum is used as a raw material in the manufacture of plastics, and the disposal of plastics contributes to the production of acid rain and increases the greenhouse effect. This article addresses the problem of the disposal of plastic waste from household garbage, what treatments can be given to these wastes and how the environment is affected, while proposing some didactic activities that may be useful for teachers of Natural Sciences of EGB 3 and Polimodal.
