Abstract

This article presents a proposal that was implemented in first year of a course that is part of a tertiary education degree course with food technology specialization, in order to link Biology with Mathematics by means of Candida intermedia thermal resistance calculation, in orange juice with a soluble solids concentration of 52o Brix. In order to establish the link between the two sciences, mathematical models through which it was possible to find the temperatures and the times at which 10 ufc/ml would survive were looked for. To such end, different digital resources were used. Such use is explained in some cases.
