Didactics of Biology: Reflections on Formative Confluences

Abstract

This article is based on a bibliographic research with a focus on the writings on
Didactics of Sciences and Biology, in a scientific interest to base some formative confluences
in the area, corroborated by the need for greater attention to the specific field of Didactics of Biology. Reflections were made, seeking to point out some assumptions, such as: epistemology / history, didactic transposition / recontextualization and teacher training. It is concluded that much still has to be matured in the field of didactic treatment of the undergraduate curricula, overcoming conceptual, epistemological, historical misconceptions, as well teacher education. In this context, such studies have the possibility of overcoming the obstacles for the field and development of a solid body of knowledge in the area of Didactics of Biology.
