Abstract

It is possible to conceive virtual writing as a critical questioning of the cult


of the fetishes of instantaneity, immediacy, speed, brevity, speed,


all associated with the "conquests" of a technology that alters


and condenses the order of time. As well as reading, writing would obey,


by its very nature, a principle of slowness, perhaps one of the most feared


ghosts that beset technological progress.

Author Biographies

Eva Da Porta, Centro de Estudios Avanzados de la Universidad Nacional de Córdoba

Doctora en Comunicación por la Universidad Nacional de La Plata. Es docente e investigadora del Centro de Estudios Avanzados y coordinadora de la línea Comunicación y Cultura del Doctorado en Estudios Sociales de América Latina y del Área de Tecnología Educativa y Conocimiento Abierto de la Facultad de Ciencias Sociales de la Universidad Nacional de Córdoba. Entre sus publicaciones se destacan Comunicación y Educación. Debates actuales desde un campo estratégico (2012); Rutas alternativas de la Comunicación Procesos de significación social, ideología y poder, compilado con Ammann, A. (2012); Sujetos emergentes y prácticas culturales: experiencias y debates contemporáneos, compilado con Boria, A. y Ammann, B. (2014); Las significaciones de las TIC en educación. Silvia Tabachnik, Facultas de Ciencias Sociales de la Unirvesidad Autónoma de México

Licenciada en Lingüística por la Escuela Nacional de Antropología e Historia (México) y doctora en Ciencias Sociales por la Universidad Autónoma Metropolitana de México. Fue docente de la Licenciatura en Comunicación Social y de la Licenciatura en Ciencias Políticas de la Facultad de Ciencias Sociales, Universidad de Buenos Aires entre 1987 y 1990, fundadora y directora de la Maestría en Sociosemiótica del Centro de Estudios Avanzados de la Universidad de Córdoba (Argentina) entre 1991 y 2001 y, partir del 2003, profesora e investigadora en el Doctorado en Ciencias Sociales (UAM X). Fue miembro del Sistema Nacional de Investigadores de México.

Desde una perspectiva sociosemiótica, ha desarrollado investigaciones en el campo del análisis del discurso político, los estudios mediáticos y la cultura digital. Es autora de Voces sin nombre. Confesión y Testimonio en la escena mediática (UNC, 1997) y de Lenguaje y Juegos de escritura en la Red. Una incursión por las comunidades virtuales (México, UAM X,2012), también de numerosos capítulos en libros y artículos en revistas especializadas de México, Argentina, Brasil y España.
