The experience of making a documentary with a self-referential imprint and that at the same time is the story of a socially marginalized group. The experiences of persecution and institutional violence are transformed into an action with social, cultural and political implications providing people material that allow the discussion of new ideas, claim rights and continue the political struggle. Los Maricones [The Faggots] take us from the dungeons to the scene of a film premiere, thus transforming, through cinema, suffering into art and joy.
