La presencia de India en África: cooperación, identidad y proyección internacional

Resumen

India y África tienen una extensa relación de carácter histórico, que apela a contactos de sus poblaciones, el desarrollo de comercio y el intercambio cultural, que se proyecta en el presente y el futuro, siendo India uno de los países asiáticos que busca tener una presencia más destacada en el continente africano a través de diversos medios. De esta manera, en 2008, se estableció la Cumbre del Foro India-África, plataforma oficial para las relaciones entre India y el continente africano y, en 2018, en una visita oficial del primer ministro indio, Narendra Modi, a Uganda, enunció los denominados 10 principios rectores para el compromiso de India-África (o Principios de Kampala). Atendiendo a lo mencionado, este trabajo busca analizar someramente la presencia de India en el continente africano, considerando la historia en común, la cooperación, las cuestiones relativas a la identidad y su proyección internacional, desde una perspectiva cualitativa, utilizando la revisión bibliográfica y la consulta de documentos.

Lía Rodríguez de la Vega, Universidad Nacional del Chaco Austral (UNCAUS)

Lía Rodriguez de la Vega es Licenciada en Estudios Orientales y Doctora en Relaciones Internacionales (Universidad del Salvador, República Argentina). Ha realizado estancias postdoctorales en la Universidad Federal de Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) de Porto Alegre, Brasil (2009) y en el Departamento de Estudios Germánicos y Romances, Universidad de Delhi, de Nueva Delhi, India (2016). Actualmente dirige la Licenciatura en Estudios Internacionales de la Universidad Nacional del Chaco Austral (Chaco, Argentina), es docente de diversas universidades e investigadora categoría ll del Programa Nacional de Incentivos para Docentes Investigadores. Es también Vicedirectora del Comité de Asuntos Asiáticos del Consejo Argentino para las Relaciones Internacionales (CARI), miembro del Comité Asesor de la Asociación Latinoamericana de Estudios de Asia y África (ALADAA Internacional) y autora de distintas publicaciones.
