Abstract

This didactic sequence was carried out within the program "Scientists go to school" (Res. 0182/2 of the Universidad Nacional del Nordeste) in three educational institutions located in the southwest of the province of Chaco attended by students belonging to the Moqoit community. The objective of the sequence was to investigate the local history of Las Tolderías and the Moqoit community in the region and to redefine the existing relationships with members of the same people who currently live in the northwest of Santa Fe by exchanging messages in Moqoit and Spanish between students from schools in both provinces. In this way, it was proposed, on the one hand, to favor an instance of practical and meaningful use of the Moqoit language and, on the other hand, to generate in the classroom a space for reflection on the shared history and local linguistic varieties. The sequence was elaborated with the contribution of researchers (anthropologists and linguists), teachers and directors of educational institutions, and members of the Moqoit community. Likewise, the work in the classroom is carried out in pedagogical pairs.
