Abstract

This paper aims to point out the social need to rethink the language we use, since it influences –among many things– the way in which the identity of the subjects is constructed. The objective is to understand the relationship that exists between society and language, since it is through this and culture that people's identity is configured. There is a clear communicative need to resort to language as a space of symbolic power through which many seek to make themselves heard.
