Abstract

Cinema en curs (Film in process) is a project regarding the teaching of cinema, developed in primary and secondary schools in Cataluña (Spain) since 2005-2006. The project has two main actions: workshops, coordinated by cinema professionals and teachers, and the laboratory for experimentation and resources´ generation. Alongside describing workshops´ development and the project´s organization, this article exposes the cinematographic and pedagogic principles behind Cinema en curs. In this respect, the contact with reality and its rediscovering occupies a central place. The initial and final activities of these workshops are explained in greater detail: the Lumieres´s minutes, at the beginning of the workshops, and the production of a short film at the end.
