Abstract

The topics of energy, its transformation and the sources of electric power are seldom covered in detail in the syllabi of courses of the first years of secondary school. So as to understand how a hydroelectric power station works, in this proposal we begin by building a power generator, an experience that promotes the posing of questions about its operation and allows the study of electromagnetic induction effects. This proposal was created as the final project in the Teaching Practice Workshop III of the third year of the Physics Teacher degree of the National University of Rosario. In this paper, a modified implementation of the proposal is included.
