Abstract

It is proposed to carry out an experimental practice to determine the specific heat of a substance, with simple construction equipment, low cost (less than those equipment manufactured to work in the specific field of the laboratory), viable maintenance because Is nourished by commercial elements of easy acquisition, which is complemented by an instrument of daily use on the part of the student (his cell phone), and that allows the ob-taining of results with sensible improvements in relation to those that are obtained with a equipment and in-strumental Since instantaneous temperature values can be recorded and the uncertainties associated with the measurement process are reasonably lower. It also seeks to increase the process of acquiring new knowledge, by making the student "motivated" by the use of a "familiar" element such as his cell phone, is more likely to develop the proposed activity.
