Abstract

Ivanna Aguilera is a trans activist born in Rosario. In the mid 80’s arrived Códoba and since 1990 began her path as an activist. In the last few years she was oriented to territorial activism at National University of Córdoba. In this interview, Ivanna rebuilds with us her political activism in human rights as a former political prisoner. Her activist awakening began in the early 90s when, tired of facing detentions due to her gender identity, along with her partners they formed “Acodho”. Since then, they have achieved numerous victories alongside different organizations all over the province, challenging the dishonorable minor offenses code. She also faced the trans and transvestite (non) reality at UNC. This timeline allows us to position ourselves regarding the current gender policies at UNC setting critical issues and challenges concerning the trans, transvestite and non-binary population.
