Abstract

The aim of this article is the analysis of an ethnographic study in a Catholic denominational school in the city of Córdoba, Argentina. The time frame of the work includes from 2014 to 2017, a period between which took place the first of several marches called by the Ni Una Menos Collective, entering the public agenda greater visibility to feminist issues and demands, which impacted the daily life of the school. For the analysis of the relationship between the school and its socio-cultural and political context, the contributions of Achilli (2013) and Rockwell (2018), who address theoretical and methodological aspects of anthropological work, are taken up. Through a reconstruction of the daily configuration of the school, the article focuses on two situations with special potency to understand the tensions between this community and its dynamic context. On the one hand, it considers the participation of some young women in the Student Center, marked by their attendance to the Ni Una Menos march in 2015. On the other hand, two interviews conducted with the school's Coexistence Coordinator are recovered, in which she takes up the issue of Comprehensive Sexual Education in relation to sexual diversity. Both situations show how the different temporal planes were crossed by disputes that were part of this school community.
