About the Journal

Polémicas Feministas is the journal of the Area of Feminisms, Gender and Sexualities (FemGeS), belonging to the Research Center "María Saleme de Burnichon" of the Faculty of Philosophy and Humanities of the National University of Córdoba (UNC), Argentina.

FemGeS has been historically committed, since its origins as the Interdisciplinary Program of Women's and Gender Studies (PIEMG), to the university task of building fruitful spaces for discussion on the current state of research in the area of Social and Human Sciences.

Within this framework, Polémicas Feministas has been conceived as a space for the construction of knowledge in the fields of Gender Studies, Queer Studies and feminisms, as well as a communicational tool to link the different academic, political and social spaces where this knowledge and practices are built.

The journal has become a digital publication since its third issue and has been published every six months since 2024. There is one volume per year and two biannual issues (January and July). The first issue closes in October and is published in January of the following year, and the second closes in May and is published in July.

It receives original and interdisciplinary academic articles, incipient research, essays, tributes, productions of knowledge from art, collective writing, interviews and reviews written in Spanish or Portuguese.
