Impulsividade, consumo de álcool e comportamentos sexuais de risco em estudantes universitários

Introdução: O consumo de álcool em estudantes universitários e suas consequências negativas, como comportamentos sexuais de risco, representam um problema de saúde pública. A impulsividade é relevante para estudar os comportamentos de consumo de álcool. Este estudo teve como objetivo analisar o efeito da impulsividade traço (modelo UPPS-P), idade de início no consumo de álcool (IIA) e na relação sexual (IIS) e consumo de álcool nos comportamentos sexuais de risco sob a influência do álcool (CSRA). Materiais e métodos: 196 estudantes (71,9% mulheres, idade M = 22,46; DP = 2,74) da Universidade Nacional de Córdoba completaram uma pesquisa on-line. Por meio de análises bivariadas e multivariadas, foi examinada a relação entre fatores de risco e a CSRA. Resultados: O IIA e IIS tiveram uma associação negativa com a CSRA, enquanto a quantidade de álcool e a característica de impulsividade foram positivamente associadas à CSRA. Em um nível multivariado, a IIA e a quantidade de álcool consumida influenciaram diretamente as CSRA. O IIS e busca de Sensações tiveram um efeito indireto através da quantidade de álcool consumida. Discussão: Os resultados fornecem evidências sobre o papel do início precoce no consumo de álcool, impulsividade e consumo de álcool em CSRA em estudantes universitários. Esta informação pode ser muito úteis para o desenvolvimento de programas preventivos projetados especificamente para essa população.
