Abstract

In the nineteenth century, was foundecl the Medicines Library of the National University Faculty of Medicine, center of knowledge, new ideas and tcaching. The history library sector hold the valuable inheritance thai represent the cohechan of Teachers Doctors, Pablo Mimizzi, Temístocles Castellano, Pedro Ara, José E Verna, Juan Martín Allende located with the books and thesis of the XIX century and beginning of XX cenlury. In 1986 it integrales the National I-Iea1th Science Information Network and also. the Latino American and the Caribbean Health Science Information Network. The health libraries are in front of a new paradigrn. The tcchnologies of information and comniunication require new rnethiotis for adininistration of ihe information's resources and services, to answer the society information needs in the knowledge age. The traclitional and virtual library is one unit that complcment sources in different supports, electronic publications and interactive networks. It is the nexus between the scientific inheritance and the society, and itS mission is: Give local and virtual information's scrvices and managernent the information's resources, hasis of the knowleclge society, support of teaching, iitvestigation and extension of the Medi cal Sciences Faculty of the Córdoba National University.
