About the Journal

Focus and scope

The Journal of the Faculty of Medical Sciences (RFCM) of the National University of Córdoba of the Argentine Republic is published from 1943 to the present with a periodicity of 4 annual issues and 1 supplement.

Since its inception, scientific papers and reviews of renowned researchers of this Faculty and other national and international institutions have been published.

The topics addressed are related to health sciences from the field of medicine, nursing, kinesiology, diagnostic imaging, phonoaudiology, nutrition, public health, chemical sciences, dentistry and related.

The published works correspond to the following categories:

The journal is indexed in:

PubMed Central: free full-text database of biomedical and life sciences journal literature at the U.S. National Institutes of Health National Library of Medicine (NIH/NLM).

PubMed/MEDLINE: database comprising more than 35 million citations to biomedical literature from MEDLINE, life science journals, and online books. Citations may include links to full-text content from PubMed Central and publisher websites.

LATINDEX-Directorio: is a network of 24 institutions that operate in a coordinated manner to gather and disseminate information on scientific journals produced in the region, also integrating those that disseminate Ibero-American studies in the world. Registration and consultation are free of charge.

MIAR: (Matrix of Information for the Analysis of Journals). It collects data for the identification and analysis of scientific journals. If any ISSN is entered in the search box, the system will locate in which of the databases included in the matrix the journal is indexed, whether or not it is included in MIAR.

ROAD - ISSN: "Directory of Open Access Academic Resources". It is a free service provided by the ISSN International Center. It provides access to bibliographic records describing open access scholarly resources, such as academic journals, with the aim of promoting the visibility and accessibility of these resources. The ISSN (International Standard Number for Serials) is an eight-digit number used to identify a publication and is assigned by the ISSN International Centre.

GOOGLE SCHOOLAR: is a Google search engine that focuses specifically on searching academic and scientific literature.

DOAJ: Directory of Open Access Journals. It is an online database that indexes and provides access to high quality open access scholarly journals 12. DOAJ was created in 2003 at Lund University in Sweden and is overseen by the academic community.

Portal de Revistas de la Universidad Nacional de Córdoba: The Portal de Revistas de la Universidad Nacional de Córdoba is a website that provides online access to various academic journals published by the university.
