Abstract

The Argentine litoral, as it appears in certain literary, visual and cinematographic materials, is a space in which becoming, flowing and mixing configure written plots that are prior to any alphabet. Far from the idea of ​​"author" that leads to explaining the figures in the light of the biography of their human creators as well as from the idea of ​​artistic work, this article establishes a dialogue between fragments Ortíz and Aulicino poems, short cuts of narrative texts written by Demitrópulos, Holmberg and Quiroga, Millán and Bohtlingk images and a scene from a documentary film by García with concepts from materialist and eco-critical philosophy. The notions of splintered materials (Adorno), intraaction (Barad), matter-with-stories (Iovino and Oppermann) and vibrant materialities (Bennett) are fundamental here. This conversation allows us to explore how on the litoral light, air, water, plants, stones and animals are supports for writings, overwritings and erasures made by that same splintered and vibrant matter that has voices and graphical symbols. The non-human writings are configured in stabilizing and, at the same time, destabilizing intra-active processes, present in the closed wefts of the jungle, in the current of the rivers and in the flowering and floating thoughts of the water hyacinth.

Author Biography

Hernán Lopez Piñeyro, Universidad de Buenos Aires / Universidad Nacional de las Artes

Hernán Lopez Piñeyro has a degree in Philosophy (UBA), a master's degree in History of Argentine and Latin American Art (UNSAM) and a PhD in Philosophy (UBA). His dissertation, which was awarded a doctoral scholarship by CONICET, is entitled: Figuras del espacio argentino. Heterochronic paths guided by posthuman materialism. He teaches Aesthetics at the Department of Visual Arts of the Universidad Nacional de las Artes and is a professor of the same subject at the Instituto de Educación Superior Alicia Moreau de Justo. He also taught the same subject at the Escuela Superior de Educación Artística Manuel Belgrano and at the Escuela de Música Popular de Avellaneda. He did research residencies at the Kassel Universität in Germany (with funding from the DAAD) and at the Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais in Brazil (with funding from the Red Macrouniversidades). Since 2010, he has participated in UBACyT and UNA PIACyT research projects and is part of the "Grupo de Estudios en Fotografía Contemporánea, Arte y Política" (FoCo) (IIGG-FSOC-UBA). He has participated in numerous national and international conferences and has published in several international journals with peer review system in the field of philosophy, art theory and history and social sciences. He also wrote chapters in the books Indisciplina. Aesthetics, politics and ontology (2018 - RAGIF), Situationism and its current drifts (2014 - Prometheus), among others.
