Comechingonia. Revista de Arqueología (CRA) adheres to international norms and practices regarding the ethical aspects that must be followed in the process of publishing original articles. In this sense, it adheres to what the Committee on Publications Ethics (COPE) suggests, emphasizing the following questions.
The Editorial Team has the power of decision on what is published in the CRA evaluating the originality and importance of the subject for Archeology in general. Likewise, and if necessary, the Editorial Team may make corrections, clarifications and apologies.
It is expressly established that the opinions of authors are their sole responsibility. The author or authors are responsible for ensuring that the submission has not been previously published nor has it been sent simultaneously to another journal. This must be done expressly through a signed note accompanying the shipment.
In order to detect coincidences between the works received and the publications in other sources of those who declare their authorship and of other authors / authors, before starting the references, the Editorial Committee uses Internet search tools and the Antiplagiarism.net software. In order to confirm originality and avoid plagiarism, self-plagiarism and redundant publication, the article is reviewed in its entirety.
Upon detection of plagiarism, self-plagiarism and redundant publication, the authors are sent the evidence of what has been detected and a discharge is requested. If the answer is not satisfactory, they are informed of the rejection of the article, so the manuscript is not sent for external evaluation and the journal will not receive any more articles from the author.
