What did herders do with the bones?
Main Article Content
Abstract
The archaeological record attributable to Andean shepherds is poorly defined. In addition to the general problems with this type of context in the rest of the world (Chang and Koster 1986; Robertshaw and Collett 1983; Voigt 1986), in the Andes there is an additional difficulty: the difficult osteological distinction between the different domesticated camelid species of wild. However, promising steps have recently been taken in this regard (Kent 1982).
