University in Prison Program, more than 20 years guaranteeing the right to higher education
Abstract
Motivated by the quest to make the National University of Córdoba (UNC) a more inclusive university and to democratize access to higher education from a human rights perspective, the University Program in Prison (PUC) of the Faculty of Philosophy and Humanities (FFyH) was created in 1999. Since then and uninterruptedly, it has organized the teaching of five degree courses (Library Science, Education Sciences, Philosophy, History and Literature) in all the penitentiary establishments of the province of Córdoba.
Forty years after the recovery of democracy, in conversation with Luisa Dominguez, current coordinator of the PUC, we delve into the dynamics of a space that has been building and democratizing knowledge and citizenship for more than 20 years.
