Abstract

This paper presents results of a research study carried out in 2008-2009, in which the process of implementation, use and administration of virtual classrooms was investigated. The virtual resources were used in face-to-face courses at the Faculty of Economic Sciences (Facultad de Ciencias Económicas, FCE) at the National University of Córdoba (UNC). The information was compiled and analyzed considering technological, management, and didactic-pedagogical dimensions. The starting point considered was the implementation of the first e-learning platform in the institution, and the study goes up to the date our research work started, thus covering the period 2001-2007. Quantitative and qualitative methods were used to study the virtual classrooms of the platform E-ducativa. The main points observed in the study are described in this paper.
