Abstract

In this paper we present some interesting concepts and aspects about the effects suffered by a particle immersed in a gravitational field caused by a black hole. First, we explain how the gravitational field is defined in the conception of Newtonian Universal Gravitation. We give a quick introduction to the concepts of geodesics and curvature of space-time, then seek to explore the first exact solution of the Einstein Equations for black holes, and its consequences on space-time. To do this, we present the concepts, and illustrate them with simple calculations that allow for better clarity of the concepts.
