Abstract

This paper is focused on studies on the Knowledge Base of Physics teachers, to describe its main characteristics, as well as to evaluate possible trends. There is a special interest in checking whether there is a tendency in Physics for a specialized approach to this Knowledge Base. The period studied was 2001-2018 and the databases consulted were: the Theses and Dissertations CAPES’ Bank, international and national journals of Science and Physics for teaching, 33 studies were identified. The Shulman typology, with a generic approach, predominates among the studies, but recently there has been an increase in the use of specif-ic models for Sciences and Physics teachers, which may suggest a trend towards the adoption of specialization in these re-searches.
