Abstract

The Young Scientists Workshop began in 2011 on the Oro Verde CIC, Entre Ríos. It emerges as a tool for the appropriation and democratization of scientific knowledge. It aims to familiarize children with the processes related to scientific reasoning; stimulate their curiosity, research and world´s exploration; stimulate the generation of creative activities to explain everyday situations, and encourage respect for the environment and plurality. It is developed in weekly meetings, with an average of 25 boys and girls between 8 and 11 years, experiences are carried out and the results are analyzed. The development of the Workshop has also enable the layout and implementation of low–cost experiences. These years of work have allowed the community to integrate various actors who remained isolated, as well as children of various ages and histories, becoming a tool of the community to work on issues of their interest.
