Abstract

In this work we present the results of evaluating the implementation of a proposal consisting on using a tutorial during the development of a practical laboratory work (PLW) in electrostatics. Our proposal consists on replacing the classic PLW, which has been implemented to date in the Physics II course at the Regional Faculty of San Francisco, National Technological University, with a tutorial aiming at improving students’ comprehension of physical concepts. In this way, we present a different approach to work at the laboratory on the fundamental concepts of an undergraduate basic electromagnetism course. We describe and analyze the results of the evaluation that was presented to students through a web form after developing the PLW under this modality. The results obtained push to continue with research regarding the possibility of implementing tutorials on other topics related to electromagnetism.
