PATHOS MAGAZINE

CALL FOR PAPERS AND SUBMISSION

Each year an open call for papers will be launched, which as a prerequisite must be uploaded to the OJS platform for scientific and academic journals. To do so, send your articles to the journal's e-mail address (revistapathos.unc@gmail.com), and a member of the editorial team will upload them to OJS. When doing so, please bear in mind the following:

1- Eliminate from the text of the article any personal reference to the author, as well as his or her institutional affiliation, so that it can be sent directly to an external reviewer by double-blinding.

2- The content of the message must include the author's full name and surname, as well as the author's institutional affiliation.

3- In the same message you can include a description of the author, which will appear when the article is published. You can also send links or author identifiers from ORCID or other platforms.

Once the article has been received, the Pathos team will contact you as soon as possible. If you do not receive a response, please submit again.

If you want to upload the article directly to the Pathos OJS platform, please follow the guidelines below.

EVALUATION OF ARTICLES

All submitted articles are reviewed by the editorial board, which is responsible for evaluating the thematic relevance and compliance with the editorial standards upheld by the journal. Original articles that meet these criteria and are accepted by the Editorial Board are evaluated by external experienced reviewers while maintaining the anonymity of both the author and the reviewer within a double-blind process. If a submission is not accepted by the Editorial Board, the article will not proceed to the evaluation process.

The reviewers (two) assess the article using a form provided for this purpose, analyzing multiple variables including originality of the work, academic relevance, coherence, theoretical-conceptual consistency, clarity, capacity for synthesis, and other aspects. From these evaluations, a verdict regarding the article is produced, which can be: rejected, accepted with minor revisions, accepted with substantial revisions, or accepted without modifications. If accepted with modifications, the author must make the necessary corrections for the article to be re-evaluated.

The approximate evaluation period is 3 months from the moment the editorial board admits receipt of an article. Following this, the time granted to the author to make the corrections indicated by the reviewer is 20 days, with the possibility to request one or up to two extensions of the same duration, which will be analyzed by the editorial board.

Submissions of freely themed articles are accepted throughout the year, while the call for dossier articles opens during March or April. The publication of the journal's issue for each year may vary but typically occurs in November and December. Whenever a call for submissions is made, the publication date is noted.

The Pathos journal promotes the development of good editorial practices, with one of its pillars being the maintenance of an anti-plagiarism policy. By submitting an article, the author consents to its examination by our editorial committee to detect plagiarism and self-plagiarism. Compliance with this policy is a condition for the receipt of an article.

Regarding compliance with editorial standards, the author can be guided by the following: Editorial Standards
