The dossier that we present here is the product of the Symposium Historias locales y Signos de Época II: Paisajes, viviendas y objetos del primer milenio de la Era en los Andes del Sur, held within the framework of the XX Congreso Nacional de Arqueología Argentina (XX CNAA), during the month of July 2019 in the city of Córdoba. This space arose from the need for the exchange of experiences and the passion that we who investigate the first village societies in this part of the southern Andes have. The meeting continued another held in Tucumán in 2016, on the occasion of the XIX CNAA.
