Abstract

The results of a 3-year (2016-20018) research Project, on the application of the SolidWorks® software package in the areas of mechanics, heat and fluids and electromagnetism of the Electromechanical Engineering of the Venado Tuerto Regional Faculty of the National Technological University, Argentina, is reported. The model of Technological Pedagogical Content Knowledge (TPACK) has been used to guide professors in the integration of these technologies in classroom practices. A selection and ranking of contents of the courses that were dictated to the professors of the mentioned areas has been made. In order to quantify professors' perception, a questionnaire was used as an evaluation instrument that takes into account the motivation of them in this new teaching strategy. The student’s response to the incorporation of software was also preliminarily evaluated.
