Abstract

Today's society constantly demands solutions to complex problems; in many cases, the solution’s searching processes do not fit in the traditional cognitive processes. In the framework of digital culture, it is necessary to update the knowledge of education professionals in disruptive methodologies. The article presents design thinking as an alternative approach for the planning and developing of a training device for higher-level non-university teachers. The strategies to design and prototype the device are detailed as well as the evaluative research that was the starting point to generate innovation based on the users’ needs.
