Abstract

This paper presents working foundations on educational robotics, including general concepts, different approaches to teach educational robotics, a brief summary of the Uruguayan implementation, and the reconfiguration of the teaching role in these types of workshops. Also, it describes a project to promote teaching practices in robotics, conducted between 2013 and 2014 through teacher training, either in their teacher education programs or as part of teachers continuos professional development, as well as the strengthening of local networks to support these practices. It describes some exemplary experiences that were part of these workshops.
