Abstract

Magnetism is a topic about what students haven't got strong alternative patterns before starting to their instruction. They just usually know the attraction!repulsion between magnets poles, attraction between magnet and iron, and a little else. Taking into account that, in these conditions, explanatory strategies can help the meaningful leaming, an investigation has been follow starting from a Factorial Design with two main factors among-subjets: Maturing Level -and two categories: Secondary Education and
University-, and Explanatory Methodology -with two other categories: Ausubelian and NonAusubelian-, andan intrasubjets factor: the Logic Knowledge with three categories: Previus, Posterior and in a Long-Terrn. There were made, in addition, Motivation measurements in order to guarantee the predisposition towards learning. The results show meaningful differences in favour of the ausubelian groups, tinged by the Maturative Level factor.
