Abstract

This paper presents the way in which the insertion of astronomy themes occurred during the elaboration of didactic material for
the first year of high school at a private teaching institution in the state of São Paulo, in the area of Physics. For the selection of
topics, a theoretical analysis was carried out on the Common National Curriculum Base, more specifically on the Natural Sciences,
so that it was possible to create learning expectations related to the specific skills and abilities of such document. At the end we
made a comparison between the old material and the new material, showing a considerable increase in themes related mainly to
astrophysics and astrobiology for this level of education, believing in this way, we are contributing to a contemporary teaching and
of greater interest on the part of the students. students.
