History of the journal

RECIAL began its activity in 2010 and published its first issue in December of that year. During the first three years, the journal was published annually, but since 2014 we have managed to publish two issues a year. The Academic Committee of the journal has increased from 7 members at the beginning to 17 at present. In 2016 we have felt the painful loss of Dr. Elena Altuna, who was a member of our Academic Committee.

Since 2014 RECIAL has been part of the LATINDEX Catalogue and in 2015 it joined the DIALNET network and the LATINOAMERICANA Network of cultural and literary journals.

The latter is defined as a network of associated journals published in Latin America, Europe, the United States and Canada, which was organized in 2012 under the coordination of the Revista Chilena de Literatura. The LATINOAMERICANA journal network aims to maintain a permanent academic exchange that allows to update news on topics of interest for this type of publications, to establish collaborations in relation to suggestions on possible reviewers and specialists in certain topics and exchanges of specific material and even the possibility of putting together dossiers or issues together.
