Abstract

In 2021 is the 70th anniversary of the appearance of The Origins of Totalitarianism, a book that marked a milestone in the analysis of the totalitarian regimes of the 20th century, elucidating its inscription in the Western philosophical and political tradition and at the same time, the rupture that it brings with it. This first dossier of Pescadora de Perlas is dedicated precisely to the legacy of this work, understanding, as Arendt herself pointed out, that the totalitarian elements also continue operating in postwar societies.
