Abstract

The purpose of this article is to examine the presence in Hannah Arendt's thought of the classic theme of political corruption. To clarify the issue, it will be necessary to resume some considerations about the most degraded form of political regime, namely, totalitarianism. In our investigation, we will recover certain aspects of Arendt's appropriation of the tradition of republican thought, in particular, the work of Marcus Tullius Cicero.
