This issue begins with the classic Interviews section, where the opening article is the dialogue with the renowned psychoanalyst Alfredo Eidelsztein, and his invitation to reflection and thought within the analytical practice itself. The founder of APOLA once again places in the center of the critical eye the modes of production and discursive transmission of psychoanalytic knowledge, which are rooted in tradition and worn out by repetition, and on which the practice of revision and questioning has not been exercised for a long time. In a back and forth, Alfredo addresses the relationship of psychoanalysis with science, the impasses and challenges of the present towards the future, the place of the discipline in the university, and above all, puts on the horizon of thinking and doing, the critical exercise on the foundations of the practice, which must begin with the return to the texts of Freud and Lacan, away from a religious and revelatory reading, to re-erect psychoanalysis in its specificity of rational argument, which responds to the suffering of the subject in the current times.
